About Me

Hi there!

I stumbled into photography in much the same way that a lot of people do. In 2009 while on a family holiday to the US I borrowed a friends DSLR camera for some happy snaps. I found that because I didn’t know anything about the camera I had to slow right down, and be very careful about every decision I made in composition and focus. I loved the experience, and so decided upon my return to Australia to buy a basic DSLR kit of my own and see if the rabbit-hole went anywhere.

Well over 10 years later and it’s fair to say that photography has well and truly taken hold of my psyche. I love what I do, but more importantly I want you to love what I do too. My number one goal when I do photoshoots with people is to make them feel comfortable and respected. The side-effect of this is it allows me to capture the real you, instead of just a photo where you’ve been told to pose a certain way and look in that direction. I’m not interested in directing you to within an inch of a pose I saw online – I want to relax you and bring out your real personality, for a photo that is unmistakably you.

Could this be something that might interest you? Drop me a line!

Cheers,

Colin
