After meeting the wonderful Jasmine at a group shoot in the rural wonderland of Ruwenzori, circa Feb 2016, we kept in contact after discovering we lived only three hours away from each other. It didn’t take us too long to arrange a one-on-one shoot, and because Jaz was living in stunning Byron Bay at the time, I leapt at the chance to drive down for a visit.
We talked about a few ideas, but ultimately we settled on doing two distinct shoots on the same afternoon: One around her property, and one at a local beach. The shoot around her property was one of my first forays into a slightly different, almost voyeuristic style. I also experimented with my post-production styling rather heavily to see what was possible, after wanting to change up what I was doing and break from the norm.
After we finished around the house, we took off to a local beach and realised we were going to be racing the sunset. We quickly jumped in and got some awesome shots, as well as some great BTS shots which I got much enjoyment out of for a long time afterwards!
