This time I’m really going back through the archives! Back in 2016 Shay Jellick was doing a tour around South East QLD, and after shooting with her previously a few times I jumped at the chance to practice some more Black and White’s with her at my old house in Toowoomba.
Shay is an incredible model, mostly because she doesn’t fit the cookie-cutter mould of most other nude models. Fashion-nude is one of her strongest genres and one day I hope I can shoot with her again in this style.
At this time though – back in 2016, I was learning some new ways of shooting and editing Black and White’s and the concept for this shoot was born primarily out of that. It’s had an everlasting effect on me because it produced one of my absolutely favourite photographs of all time – the feature image to this blog post.
