Following the resounding success of our first shoot together, Riley and I decided to make the most of summer 2018-19 with the wildly popular sunflower field backdrop. I’m not normally one for the more cliché styles that every amateur and their dog tries to replicate, but every once in a while if the model is right and I’m itching to shoot something, I’ll make an exception (flour shoot included!) And so, Riley and I jumped in the car and headed out.
The flies that were out and about that day were terrible! I couldn’t shoot for more than a few seconds before having to swat them all off my face. There was a lot of swearing said that afternoon! The flies didn’t listen at all. Riley was a real trooper putting up with it all while mostly wearing a lot less than me.
In a couple of hours shooting amongst the sunflowers, Riley and I managed to put together one of my all-time-favourite photoshoots. Several photos from this set are so cherished that they’ve been put front and centre here on my website, as well as personal and professional Facebook pages. I hope you enjoy these as much as Riley and I did taking them.
